Sarah Ève Tousignant (elle) est commissaire indépendante, travailleuse culturelle, chargée de cours et autrice, basée à Montréal.
Ses recherches actuelles portent sur les arts numériques et sonores, avec un intérêt marqué pour les approches collaboratives, artisanales et situées. À travers ses projets, elle s’intéresse aux formes de co-création et aux expériences collectives, tant dans les lieux d’exposition que dans l’espace public.
Préférant une construction de sens à plusieurs voix, elle développe toujours des projets de commissariat en collaboration. Parmi ceux-ci figurent Futur voyage : le temps de l’adaptation (avec S. Lee), coproduit par le Consulat général de la République de Corée à Montréal et la Société des arts technologiques (SAT) ; la 12e édition du festival Sight+Sound d’Eastern Bloc, intitulée Danser en attendant (la fin du monde) (avec N. Bachand), finaliste du Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal en 2022 ; Le large (avec K. Hawke), présentée à la Galerie AVE en 2019 ; ainsi que Nord Performance (avec J. Burn), à l’Espace cercle carré en 2012.
Elle agit ponctuellement comme programmatrice artistique aux Ateliers Belleville, notamment pour le Minigolf Belleville Plaisirs, coprésenté avec Ex Muro à Québec (2025), ainsi que pour le concert ÉCHOS VIII : Musique pour grand espace (2024) en collaboration avec ELEKTRA.
Sarah Ève a collaboré avec de nombreux organismes artistiques montréalais, dont Molior, OBORO et ELEKTRA/BIAN. Depuis 2021, elle occupe le poste de chargée du financement, des projets stratégiques et des expositions à MUTEK. Elle fait notamment partie de l’équipe de programmation du parcours d’installations en espace public Village Numérique et a participé à la coordination des délégations professionnelles Effet Québec, organisées par Xn Québec en collaboration avec MUTEK (MUTEK.ES à Barcelone en 2024, MUTEK.MX à Mexico en 2024 et MUTEK.JP à Tokyo en 2025).
Depuis 2025, elle co-enseigne le cours Arts et technologies : fondements et enjeux à l’Université de Sherbrooke et siège au conseil d’administration de Création Caroline Laurin-Beaucage.
De descendance européenne, elle a grandi en territoire ancestral W8banaki, puis s’est installée à Montréal, sur les terres haudenosaunee — Tiohtià:ke pour la nation Kanien’kehá:ka et Mooniyang pour la nation Anishinaabe.

Sarah Ève Tousignant (she/her) is an independent curator, cultural worker, lecturer, and writer based in Montréal.
Her current research focuses on digital and sound arts, with a particular interest in collaborative, DIY, and situated approaches. Through her projects, she explores forms of co-creation and collective experiences, both within exhibition spaces and in the public realm.
Favouring dialogic forms of meaning-making, she consistently develops her curatorial projects in collaboration. Selected projects include Future Voyage: The Time of Adaptation (with S. Lee), co-produced by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Montréal and the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT); the 12th edition of Eastern Bloc’s Sight+Sound festival, Dancing While Waiting (for the End of the World) (with N. Bachand), a finalist for the 2022 Montreal Arts Council Grand Prize; Le large (with K. Hawke), presented at Galerie AVE in 2019; and Nord Performance (with J. Burn), at Espace cercle carré in 2012.
She contributes regularly to artistic programming at Ateliers Belleville notably for Minigolf Belleville Plaisirs, co-presented with Ex Muro in Québec City (2025), as well as for the concert ECHOS VIII: Music for a Large Space (2024), presented in collaboration with ELEKTRA.
Sarah Ève has collaborated with numerous Montreal arts organizations, including Molior, OBORO, and ELEKTRA/BIAN. Since 2021, she has held the position of Funding, Strategic Projects, and Exhibitions Manager at MUTEK. She is part of the programming team for the public-space installation circuit Village Numérique and has contributed to the coordination of the Effet Québec professional delegations, organized by Xn Québec in collaboration with MUTEK (MUTEK.ES in Barcelona in 2024, MUTEK.MX in Mexico City in 2024, and MUTEK.JP in Tokyo in 2025).
Since 2025, she has co-taught the course Arts and Technologies: Foundations and Issues at University of Sherbrooke and serves on the board of directors of Création Caroline Laurin-Beaucage.
